Mona Lloyd is a self-taught narrative designer based in Austria.

As a storyteller, she gravitates toward queer stories in uncanny, atmospheric horror and soft science fiction.

She has a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and a master’s degree in “Anglophone Literatures & Cultures.” Her previous experience spans working as a German-English translator, getting a short story published, and contributing to a monthly English-language newspaper as an editor and journalist.

Currently, she’s prototyping a text game that has you possess the people around you and use their inventories and relationships to escape an authoritarian regime.

In her free time, she’s learning C#/Unity to better understand how the different aspects of a game influence each other, and more importantly, impact storytelling.
